Custom playing cards: Make your special occasion an affair to remember

Custom playing cards leave their mark on any occasion. The wedding is just around the corner. Everyone is starting to believe that Murphy’s Law of “everything that CAN go wrong WILL” is going to take effect any day now. The caterer has already cancelled and to top it all off, the print shop that was handling those personalized matchbooks burned down last week, BEFORE the order was fulfilled. Now it looks like just another bad omen. The matchbooks no longer seem like such a great idea, but a colleague was talking about a party he had been to recently where the host passed out custom playing cards. He even brought them to work and showed them around. They were definitely unique and very high quality. He also said that the cards could be customized in any way, with photos, business logos, advertisements, or anything else under the sun. A photo of the bride and groom would look so much nicer on the backs of those cards than that business logo, though. The card stock used for our custom playing cards is sturdy and will last a long time. In fact, people may still be using those cards ten years down the road with fond memories of the wedding. This will definitely be a wedding that will be talked about for years over many a game of poker or euchre. The cards are not all that expensive and will last a lot longer than those silly matchbooks. Besides, the guests deserve to walk away with a little something, other than the hangover, that is. Memories are built on unique ideas and experiences, and what could be more unique than a deck of custom playing cards commemorating the occasion? Why stop at the wedding? The family photo would look much nicer on playing cards than a Christmas card and that kills two birds with one stone. A gift and a Christmas card all rolled into one. Custom playing cards are definitely a versatile item for all occasions.

Your Skin is Under Attack!

Your Skin is Under Attack!

You may not realize it but your skin is under attack every minute of every day. It is constantly being bombarded by elements in the environment and atmosphere that are damaging and harmful, and even more so for certain people that live or work in particular areas. (Here’s where you can find more skin care products reviews.)

As an example, you may already be aware of the damage that the sun does to the skin. There is always talk about UVA and UVB rays; you may not completely understand what these rays are but you know they’re out to get you! What is interesting about these rays from the sun is that they’re present even on the cloudiest of days and even during the wintertime. They actually damage the cells on the top layer of the skin causing them to burn and die off, something that you’re probably not even aware of. We may think that a suntan looks good but in reality any change in the skin’s color due to being in the sun is a sign of damage, just as much as if you had burned it on the stove.

Speaking of which, cold and wind are also very damaging elements for the skin. They both sap moisture from the outermost layer and leave it vulnerable to damage including rashes and dryness. Moisture acts as a protection for the skin and nourishes it as well; many of the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other important elements that the skin needs to stay healthy are contained in the moisture or hydration of the skin.

Pollution is another common irritant to skin, as are very high levels of dust and dirt. There is always dirt in the air and the skin is designed to collect and then rinse away any minor coating of dust but if you live or work in a very polluted or very dirty environment your pores are going to be clogged with this dirt and you may be prone to breakouts and more skin irritations. Skin’s pores are designed to handle only so much dirt and pollution and anything more than that is just going to sit on your face and cause damage. (Here’s where you can find more detailed information on skin care and stretch mark removal cream.)

Of course there are other things that irritate the skin such as chlorine, acid rain, and so on. You may actually already be aware of the damaging elements in the atmosphere if you come home from work and clean your pores only to have your wash rag turn gray or black. You may also be prone to rashes and dryness from these outside elements.

Moisture is a good barrier between your skin and all these attacking elements, both from within when you drink water and from on top of your skin by way of a commercial product. You may not be able to always protect your skin from every harsh and damaging element there is but you can help it along by staying hydrated and using a good moisturizer every day.

How to Protect Skin-Part IV

How to Protect Skin-Part IV

Yes, enjoying a sunny day on the beach is fun. However, when going out without proper skin protection one is risking himself of having skin diseases, one of which is the dreaded skin cancer. So to maintain the healthy, youthful glow of one’s skin, it is indispensable to understand how the bad effects of the sun’s ultraviolet or UV rays come into action. (Here’s where you can find more detailed information on skin care and stretchmark removal cream.)

The UV-A and UV-B rays penetrate clouds, thick layers of glass, a meter of water, and the layers of the skin. UV-B makes the skin’s top layers to release chemicals that permit the blood vessels’ expansion and cause some fluid to leak, resulting to inflammation, pain and redness known as sunburn. This damage can occur within an approximate of only 15 minutes and can continue to worsen for up to 72 hours after sun exposure. The damaged skin cells in the process will die and “molt off” in sheets or pictures. Peeling is the process in which the body disposes of dead skin cells. UV-A are the rays that get into the deeper layers of the skin. This affects the living skin cells under the surface of the skin. These rays not only bring about long-term damage such as sagging, wrinkles and discoloration, they also give way for the early stages of skin cancer.

Here’s some “geek speak” that’s worth some brow-burning. The UV rays act like chain saws, shredding deep into the DNA (the genetic material, with a very precise structure, specific order and specific coding) found within the cell nuclei. Repair enzymes within the cell act by countering the damage done on the DNA chain in shortest period possible. This damage and repair happens simultaneously and continuously with the tempo of the repair keeping up with the extent of damage being inflicted. But just like any other mechanism within the body, these repair enzymes have their limits and reaches the point that they can no longer work. When the damage is too much (which occurs even before the skin turns red), the enzymes cannot cope. The result is a dismantled DNA structure which alters the coding and leads to the abnormality of skin cells or what is termed as mutation. This is the first step of the formation of cancer cells. UV-rays also contribute to the formation of superoxides which are extremely toxic chemicalsthe speeds up skin cell ageing.

Skin cells produce melanin, a pigment that gives the skin its characteristic color.

Find Out What Ranks High With Plant Engineers In Electronics

Find Out What Ranks High With Plant Engineers In Electronics
Not surprisingly, reliability ranked the most important criteria in purchasing industrial electronics according to a recent survey by Plant Engineering & Maintenance.

Reliability was followed, in descending order, by quality, safety, maintenance, service, price, throughput, technology, noise, speed, and “green”.

Maintenance ranked 4th out of 11 so we know it’s pretty high on your list. Nobody wants equipment that is difficult or excessively expensive to maintain. Downtime is lost time and lost time is lost money.

Save money in the long run by purchasing quality industrial electronic equipment with a good warranty. And when that warranty runs out, or the OEM does not provide responsive service, send your repairs to a reliable electronic repairs expert.

For example, the ACS Industrial tech team is trained and experienced in the repair of virtually all types of industrial electronics including drives, PLCs, power supplies, controls, encoders, servo motors, CNC equipment, printed circuit boards, touch screens, stepper motors, CRT monitors, test equipment and more. They service most brands including Yaskawa, Okuma and Mitsubishi and rush service is available upon request for most items.

No all electronic repair shops are excellent, so choose carefully and responsibly.

Bad Bearings Usually The Cause of Servo Motor Failure – How to Repair

Bad Bearings Usually The Cause of Servo Motor Failure – How to Repair
If your servo motor is not working properly, chances are good that the bearings are the main problem.

They may have reached the end of their useful life, especially if they are factory sealed bearings that cannot be lubricated.

Or, if you have have open bearings, they may have become contaminated, especially if your work environment is not very clean. Lubrication of the bearings, if possible, is a good way to get the most life out of your servo motor.

Regularly adding new grease will push out the old grease and any dirt that may have worked its way into the bearing housing. It is important that the old grease have a way to move out so look for a pressure relief mechanism first before adding new grease. Not checking first could result in overheating due to too much lubrication.

If you are still having problems with your servo motor, or you are just too busy to fiddle with it, send it to an expert in servo repairs. Their expert team can diagnose the problem, repair it, and rehab your entire unit quickly. The best firms will offer a warranty on the repair as well. Some of these firms provide only servo motor repairs while other equally excellent firms offer comprehensive industrial electronic repair services.
